Affiliate disclosure

Best Retirement Investment is free to read. To pay for research and writing, some pages may include affiliate links.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a link to a company that has agreed to pay us a fee if you contact them, open an account or buy something through that link. You don't pay anything extra because of it.

Which pages have affiliate links

Any page with affiliate links shows a short notice near the top, above the first link:

We may earn a fee if you contact a company through links on this page. This never changes our ratings. How we make money.

If a page doesn't show that notice, it has no affiliate links. Our guides to IRS rules, retirement planning and scams are written to be useful whether or not you ever contact a company.

Why being paid doesn't change what we write

  • We decide what to write and what to say before we look at whether a company pays us.
  • Companies can't pay to be included, to be rated higher, or to review or change our pages.
  • Any company we review is judged with the same method, whether or not it pays us. Our editorial policy explains that method.
  • We only work with companies whose public record we have checked, and we will stop working with a company if we find a problem.

Brands and logos

We don't use any company's name, logo or marketing claims on this site without that company's written permission.
